North Central ER
Trusted quality care Laredoans have come to expect is now available in north Laredo with the opening of Laredo Medical Center - North Central ER. Laredo Medical Center’s newest access point for emergency care is equipped to treat patients with illnesses and injuries that require a higher level of care.
The 10,500 square-foot facility features seven private exam rooms including trauma, gynecology and bariatric treatment with experienced emergency physicians and skilled clinical staff.
Laredo Medical Center - North Central ER is a wide spectrum emergency room with the immediate support of the hospital’s infrastructure for any patient, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Our safety precautions remain the highest priority in our new ER. To ensure a safe environment of care, enhanced cleaning and disinfecting of frequently touched areas and caregiving spaces are in place. All patients and visitors who enter our facility, including staff and physicians, will be screened for signs or symptoms of COVID-19. For the protection and safety of everyone in the facility, face masks are required to be worn at all times and social distancing must be maintained. In line with our current hospital policy, one visitor 18 years or older will be allowed to accompany the patient.
The ER is conveniently located in the growing residential and business community in north Laredo at 9811 McPherson Road, close to North Central Park.
Laredo Medical Center – North Central ER offers a variety of emergency care services, including:
- High-resolution CT scans from a 64-slice scanner
- Digital X-ray imaging
- Ultrasound imaging
- Cardiac monitoring, evaluation and EKG
- Splinting, slings, crutches and ortho boots
- IV medications and fluids
- Ventilation/intubation
- Tests for strep, COVID-19 and flu
- Onsite pharmacy services
- Onsite lab testing
- Critical care monitoring and stabilization
All major insurance plans are accepted, including Medicare and Medicaid.
