Zapata Family Medical Clinic Invites Community to Cozy Up to Good Health at Winter Wellness Fair on December 3

Warm up to wellness at the Zapata Family Medical Clinic on Saturday, December 3, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for a morning of free health screenings, educational booths and family fun — all designed to help you stay healthy and thriving through the winter months.
This fun and informative outdoor wellness celebration is free and open to families from Zapata, San Ygnacio, Falcon Lake Estates/Falcon Heights, Lopeno, Medina, Ramireño and Las Palmas.
Guests can take advantage of free health screenings, including glucose and cholesterol testing (fasting required), BMI and blood pressure checks, hernia screenings, glucose checks, and self-breast exam education.
In addition, visitors can connect with experts and explore educational resources from Laredo Medical Center’s emergency and trauma services, sleep center, bariatric weight loss surgery, women’s imaging, physical therapy, stroke and heart teams and Laredo Physician Associates.
As a special bonus, the first 50 adults attending will receive a free flu shot, helping everyone stay healthy through the winter season.
The Winter Wellness Community Fair in Zapata will also feature refreshments, giveaways and more, making it a perfect way for families and neighbors to start the holiday season on a healthy note.
“Winter is the perfect time to slow down, check in on your health, and connect with resources that support your well-being,” said Jorge Leal, FACHE, chief executive officer of Laredo Medical Center. “We’re excited to bring the community together for a morning that’s all about prevention, education and fun.”
