Laredo Medical Center affiliate, Laredo Physician Associates, provides greater access and care to the community
Access to primary care and specialty care continues to grow in the Laredo-Webb County region, thanks to Laredo Medical Center affiliate, Laredo Physician Associates. The medical group includes eight Family Medicine providers and 13 specialists, including orthopedic surgery/sports medicine and neurosurgery and spine.

Primary Care
Primary Care Associates of Laredo offers four convenient locations to serve Laredo and surrounding communities. The team of family medicine providers includes:
Richard Bang, M.D. – Dr. Bang has a special interest in the management of obesity in adults and children, low testosterone, attention deficit disorder (ADHD), anxiety, and depression for people age 6 and up. His office is located at 7210 McPherson Road, Suite 220.
Mario Cesar Flores, M.D. – Dr. Flores has a special interest in preventive care for patients age 5 and up, including the management of chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol, and women’s health. His office is located at 8607 McPherson Road, Suite 102.
Luis Guevara, D.O. – Dr. Guevara cares for patients age 5 and up and is board certified in Sleep Medicine, too. His services include sleep studies for pediatric, adolescent and adult patients, annual health and wellness exams, sports physicals and more. His office is located at 1119 Fenwick Drive, Suite 204.
Jacob A. Kallsen, M.D. – Dr. Kallsen has a special interest in preventive medicine for the pediatric, adolescent and adult populations age 6 and up. His office is located at 1119 Fenwick Drive, Suite 204.
Tyler King, D.O. – Dr. King has a special interest in preventive medicine for the pediatric, adolescent and adult populations, including the management of obesity in adults and children. His board certification in Obesity Medicine helps patients benefit from his extensive training and expertise in obesity care. Dr. King’s office is located at 8607 McPherson Road, Suite 102.
Christopher B. Tchou, D.O. – Dr. Tchou has a special interest in providing wellness and preventive care to people age 10 and up. This includes the management of chronic conditions and well-woman exams. His office is located at 7210 McPherson Road, Suite 220.
Amada Roxana Gallardo, FNP-C – Family nurse practitioner Gallardo has a particular interest in preventive medicine with a specialized focus on women’s health, adolescents and adults age 5 and up. Her office is located at 4151 Jaime Zapata Highway, Suite 101-B.
Rochelle V. Gonzalez, FNP-BC – Family nurse practitioner Gonzalez has a particular interest in women’s health, menopause, and the management of chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension and hypo/hyperthyroidism for women 16 and up and males 18 and up. Her office is located at 7210 McPherson Road, Suite 220.
Specialty Care
Laredo Medical Center continues to expand its footprint on specialty care for the benefit of patients with complex medical conditions. In 2025, the following specialists joined the medical staff:
David F. Bruni, M.D. – Dr. Bruni is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and shoulder reconstructive surgery. His services include arthroscopic surgery, foot and ankle surgery, hand and wrist surgery, total joint replacement (hip, shoulder and elbow), pediatric orthopedic care and more for patients 10 and up. His office is located at 1710 East Saunders, Tower B, 1st floor, Suite B-170.
Gordon Chu, M.D. – Dr. Chu is a neurosurgeon with nearly two decades of experience in minimally invasive spine surgery and complex spinal procedures, including treatment for brain and spinal tumors and degenerative diseases of the spine and more. His office is located at 1710 East Saunders, Tower B, 1st floor, Suite B-170.
