Laredo Medical Center grand opening celebrates upgrades to cardiac cath labs
LAREDO, Texas – Laredo Medical Center has enhanced its Heart and Vascular Program by upgrading two existing cardiac catheterization (cath) labs to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of various patient conditions. Laredo Medical Center celebrated the occasion with a ribbon cutting during a grand reopening attended by members of the hospital’s Heart team, medical staff, city and county leaders and other well-wishers.
Equipped with advanced technology, the cath labs are utilized to offer procedures for diagnostic catheterizations, stenting and balloon angioplasty for a variety of heart problems. Additionally, the labs have the capability for the hospital to offer electrophysiology services to treat arrhythmias and other abnormal heart rhythms.

At the helm of Laredo Medical Center’s new cath labs is an interventional cardiology team comprised of multi-specialty cardiac professionals dedicated to providing quality cardiac care with over 60 years of combined experience.
