Laredo Medical Center Welcomes Luis Guevara, D.O., Board-Certified Family Medicine and Sleep Medicine Specialist

LAREDO, Texas – Laredo Medical Center and Primary Care Associates of Laredo are proud to welcome Luis Guevara, D.O., to their medical staff. Dr. Guevara is a physician who is board certified in family medicine and has successfully completed his sleep medicine fellowship.
Dr. Guevara received his medical education at Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Knoxville, TN. He completed his residency as part of the Laredo Medical Center family medicine residency program, class of 2023. He then received his fellowship in sleep medicine in June 2024 from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi, where he managed common sleep disorders such as sleep apnea with various modes of therapy, including positive airway pressures devices and hypoglossal nerve stimulation therapy. He also helped patients with rare disorders such as narcolepsy and congenital central hypoventilation syndrome.
Dr. Guevara has a special interest in sleep medicine where he will provide sleep studies for adult and pediatric patients, including polysomnography, actigraphy and mean sleep latency studies. Sleep studies will help identify and treat sleep apnea and other sleep disorders, such as insomnia, narcolepsy, circadian rhythm disorders and daytime sleepiness and parasomnias. He also enjoys helping patients improve their health and wellness by managing their chronic illness such as diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and thyroid diseases.
Dr. Guevara looks forward to providing quality and compassionate care in our community. He is accepting new patients, ages 5 and up. Most insurance plans are welcome.
