Laredo Medical Center Opens New ER in North Laredo

Laredo Medical Center - North Central ER formally opened its doors to the public on Saturday, July 11. The full spectrum emergency room distinguishes itself by having the immediate support of the hospital’s infrastructure for any patient, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The ER is conveniently located in the growing residential and business community in north Laredo, at 9811 McPherson Rd. close to North Central Park. All major insurance plans are accepted including Medicare and Medicaid.

This will create a much-needed access point in North Laredo that offers all Laredoans that walk through our doors the same trusted quality care they have been receiving for more than a century in our region,” said Enrique Gallegos, CEO of Laredo Medical Center.
The 10,500 square-foot facility features seven private exam rooms including trauma, gynecology, and bariatric treatment with experienced emergency physicians and skilled clinical staff.
A variety of emergency services are available, including:
- High-resolution CT scans from a 64-slice scanner
- Digital X-ray imaging
- Ultrasound imaging
- Cardiac monitoring, evaluation and EKG
- Splinting, slings, crutches and ortho boots
- IV medications and fluids
- Ventilation/intubation
- Tests for Strep, COVID-19 and flu
- Onsite pharmacy services
- Onsite lab testing
- Critical care monitoring and stabilization
