Laredo Medical Center Expands Online Scheduling to Include Doctor Appointments
8/1/2019
In the world of technology there are a few “must haves” for every computer or mobile device – quick access to your favorite restaurant, music, social networking sites and, now, Laredo Medical Center.
In 2018, an online scheduling service was launched to make visits to Laredo CareClinics, LMC’s affiliates for after-hours medical care, more convenient. Laredo Medical Center has expanded its online access to include scheduling with a primary care physician.
“An increasing majority of Americans use computers, tablets and smartphones to manage their daily routines,” says Adriana Villarreal, Director of Practice Management at Laredo Medical Center. “Now they can book doctor appointments online, too. Having that 24/7 access is going to be a great convenience.”
Online appointment scheduling is now available for two primary care physicians with Primary Care Associates of Laredo.
Physicians offering online scheduling include primary care providers Dr. Richard Bang and Dr. Mario Gutierrez. Both are board-certified in family medicine.
This free service allows both new and existing patients to schedule an appointment with a practice online.
Here’s how the process works:
- Click "Online Scheduling" at the top of the page
- Under Primary Care, click “Schedule Online” and select a physician and an open appointment time that works best with your schedule.
- Next, complete the registration form and then you will be sent a confirmation email with your confirmed appointment time and directions.
New patients are asked to bring a valid photo ID and insurance card (if applicable), and arrive early to complete any necessary paperwork. Patients should also bring records from any previous primary care providers. If that is not possible, the practice staff will help facilitate the process when you arrive for your appointment.
Online scheduling does not allow patients whose symptoms indicate a life-threatening or debilitating medical condition to use the service; key words such as “chest pain” trigger a directive to call 911 or to go to the nearest emergency department immediately.
