Minor Illnesses and Injuries
Walk-in, or urgent care, clinics are outpatient clinics that treat most illnesses and injuries, but do not handle life-threatening conditions like chest pain, stroke or severe bleeding.
Laredo CareClinics’ nurse practitioners offer a wide range of services for men’s, women’s and children's health issues.
The clinics’ walk-in services include treatment for:
- Sinus infections
- Sore throat
- Respiratory infections
- Bladder infections
- Nausea, vomiting and diarrhea
- Headaches and migraines
- Skin conditions
- Pulled or strained muscles
- Sprains
Additionally, the clinics offer:
- Flu shots
- Strep tests
- Flu tests
- COVID-19 tests
- RSV tests
- Sports physicals
- DOT Physicals
Physicals
Laredo CareClinic offers two types of physical exams to help detect medical problems before the symptoms appear.
Sports Physicals
Parents with children planning to participate in sports, cheerleading, band or dance are encouraged to beat the back-to-school rush by scheduling a sports physical now before school starts. The exams helps recognize developing medical issues before they become serious. One example of this is eyesight. Research has linked poor eyesight with poor performance in the classroom. If left unaddressed, common eye problems may result in poor grades and classroom frustration. Sports physicals are available for $25 and the TB test for $21. Call to schedule an appointment or simply walk in to one of our clinics.
DOT Physicals
The job of a commercial driver comes with an important responsibility to maintain the safety of the public and the driver on the roads – and they are required to have a regular physical examination as part of their compliance with the Department of Transportation and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. The DOT physical is required every two years to certify that the driver is in good health for the job. The exam monitors weight, body mass index, cholesterol levels and blood pressure levels and can help address any health issues right away to prevent complications.
Laredo CareClinics offer the DOT physical by appointment only. OSHA/Environmental physicals, pre-employment physicals and Fit testing are not available. Call to schedule an appointment.
