Laredo Medical Center Donates to Charity in Honor of its Medical Staff

LAREDO, TX – This year, to celebrate National Doctors’ Day, Laredo Medical Center found a unique way to thank the providers who serve at the hospital. In lieu of gifts, Laredo Medical Center donated money to a charity in honor of its medical staff.
“We want to say a big thank you to all of our medical staff,” said Jorge Leal, FACHE, CEO of Laredo Medical Center. “We are fortunate to have them and want to acknowledge their contributions, sacrifices, skills and unwavering care to the thousands of lives we at Laredo Medical Center touch each year.”
Earlier this month, medical staff leadership elected to help Casa de Misericordia, which provides shelter and other services for victims of domestic violence.
On Thursday, March 30, National Doctors’ Day, hospital leadership from Laredo Medical Center presented a check for $5,000 to Sister Rosemary Welsh, executive director of Casa de Misericordia.
