Washington’s Birthday Tradition at Laredo Medical Center is a Success

LAREDO, TX (February 8, 2024) – Over 500 Laredoans turned out to Laredo Medical Center on Saturday, February 3 to lace up their shoes and roll up their sleeves for healthy hearts.

February is American Heart Month and the first-ever Laredo Association of REALTORS® Run George Run 5K Run, Walk and Laredo Medical Center Wellness Fair offered many ways to show some TLC to your heart. More than 200 participants benefited from the various complimentary health screenings offered for blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, pulmonary function, vision, hearing and hernias, among other critical checkups.

Over 30 Laredo Medical Center departments and community organizations offered valuable wellness information and interactive activities. Many signed up for LMC’s Leap into Heart Health email series at http://www.laredomedical.com/heart-challenge and over 350 runners and walkers participated in the 3.1 mile long race.
