Primary Care Associates of Laredo Marks Growth with New Facility for Dr. Miguel Villarino at LMC South

Access to quality medical care continues to thrive in the Laredo-Webb County region, thanks to Laredo Medical Center affiliate Primary Care Associates of Laredo, which hosted a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new medical office of a highly experienced family medicine physician, Dr. Miguel Villarino, on Friday, March 25.
Hospital leadership and staff were joined by medical staff, the Laredo Chamber of Commerce and other well-wishers to celebrate the grand opening and meet the doctor and staff.
Located on the second floor at LMC South, 4151 Jaime Zapata Highway, Suite 205, Primary Care Associates of Laredo’s new office will serve the fast-growing south Laredo community by offering a medical home where residents can seek medical care and grow a lasting relationship with their medical provider.
“We are proud to offer greater access to quality care with our new Primary Care Associates of Laredo office in this part of town. In December, we expanded our north location with three family medicine physicians to provide quality care closer to where our patients live and work,” said Laredo Medical Center Chief Operating Officer Gerardo Ramos.
The practicing provider at the south location, Dr. Miguel Villarino, is a compassionate family medicine physician with over 24 years of experience and strong ties to the community.
Dr. Villarino is the newest member of the Primary Care Associates of Laredo team, joining three other family medicine physicians, including Dr. Richard Bang, Dr. Christopher Tchou and Dr. Jesus Aguirre-Burgos. All four physicians are members of the Medical Staff at Laredo Medical Center with a combined total of over 75 years of experience in family medicine.
Dr. Villarino received his medical education at the Universidad Autónoma Baja California in Mexicali, Mexico and then completed his residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
After being in private practice for more than 20 years, Dr. Villarino continues to offer primary care services, exclusively at Primary Care Associates of Laredo.
Dr. Villarino has a special interest in well-child care for ages 4 and up, and the management of acute and chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, high cholesterol and high blood pressure. He is fluent in English and Spanish and is accepting new patients, ages 4 to 60.
