Laredo Medical Center Welcomes New Family Nurse Practitioner Amada Roxana Gallardo

LAREDO, TX (October 5, 2023)—Laredo Medical Center and Primary Care Associates of Laredo are proud to welcome Amada Roxana (Roxy) Gallardo, MSN, APRN, FNP-C. Gallardo is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with a focus on family medicine.

A native of Laredo, Mrs. Gallardo earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Texas A&M International University and pursued her Master of Science in nursing at Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri, where she graduated with honors. She has extensive experience in critical care and holds a national certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

Mrs. Gallardo has a particular interest in preventive medicine with a specialized focus on women’s health, adolescents and adults. She specializes in the management of acute and chronic illnesses, including but not limited to, diabetes, hypertension and hyperthyroidism.

Services offered include annual physicals, Pap smears, clinical breast examinations, pre-participation sports physicals, in-office EKGs, joint injections for the treatment of arthritis, COVID and flu testing, skin biopsies, suturing of small lacerations, skin tag removal and ingrown toenail removal.

Mrs. Gallardo has clinical experience in primary care for patients, 5 years and up, and is fluent in English and Spanish.
