Laredo’s only Bariatric Surgeon joins Laredo Surgical Associates at Laredo Medical Center

Laredo Surgical Associates and Laredo Medical Center are excited to welcome Michael C. Morris, M.D., FACS, FASMBS, General Surgery and Bariatric Surgeon, to LMC’s surgical team, as of March 1, 2021.
Dr. Morris is board-certified general surgeon who has been practicing in Laredo and serving as the Bariatric Medical Director at Laredo Medical Center since 2008. He graduated from Universidad Autonóma de Guadalajara in Jalisco, Mexico in 2001 and completed his residency at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York.

Dr. Morris will continue offering Laredoans and those in surrounding communities general surgery and bariatric surgery with the latest in robotic-assisted and advanced laparoscopic surgery, exclusively at Laredo Medical Center.

Among the services Dr. Morris will offer are gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, duodenal switch, gallbladder removal, inguinal, umbilical and ventral hernia repair, appendix removal, colon resection, enteral feeding access and subcutaneous port placement.
