Laredo Medical Center Boosts Women’s Health with New Imaging Center

North center expansion represents community’s first imaging center to offer biopsy and other services
LAREDO, Texas, JANUARY 24, 2025 – Laredo Medical Center is celebrating the new year with the opening of a Women’s Imaging Center in north Laredo to increase access to lifesaving screenings and other critical women’s health services throughout the community. The center includes modern imaging technology, along with increased capacity and biopsy services.
“We are thrilled to introduce a specialized center that provides essential diagnostic services to women in a spa-like environment that features soothing colors, comfortable furniture and amenities,” said Laredo Medical Center CEO Jorge Leal, FACHE. The center offers a wide range of services, provided by a compassionate team of healthcare professionals committed to delivering quality care, including advanced 3D screening, diagnostic mammography, ultrasonography and bone densitometry. Furthermore, the center offers added services like stereotactic and ultrasound-guided breast biopsy. The expansion represents the community’s first imaging center to offer biopsy and advanced body composition services.

The center, located at 7210 McPherson, Suite 115, at LMC North, is designed with patient comfort and convenience in mind, featuring weekend hours, dedicated entrances, ample parking, and on-site registration to provide a seamless experience for every patient.
Diagnostic services at LMC South will also be enhanced later this year to include advanced 3D screening, diagnostic mammography, ultrasonography and bone densitometry.
