Laredo Medical Center Boosts Primary Care with Fifth Clinic

LAREDO, TX – The Laredo-Webb County region has received a major boost in primary care with the opening of a fifth clinic by Laredo Medical Center affiliate Primary Care Associates of Laredo.
The occasion was celebrated at a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new medical office of family medicine physician D. Tyler King, D.O., on Thursday, January 11.
Hospital leadership and staff were joined by medical staff, the Laredo Chamber of Commerce and other well-wishers to celebrate the grand opening, meet the doctor and his staff.
Located at 8607 McPherson Road, Suite 102, Primary Care Associates of Laredo’s newest clinic is in the growing north Laredo area, offering residents another option to seek primary care and grow a lasting relationship with their medical provider.
“The community now has five convenient locations for primary care with eight family medicine providers available to help meet the healthcare needs of families,” says Laredo Medical Center Chief Executive Officer Jorge Leal, FACHE. “We are proud to increase accessibility to primary care in the Laredo and Webb County region, and we look forward to continue to grow our network of healthcare providers to offer quality care close to where our patients live and work.”
The practicing provider at the new McPherson location is a 2023 graduate of the Family Medicine Residency Program, created and led by Laredo Medical Center to train the next generation of physicians and meet the healthcare needs of the area.
“Dr. King is a board-certified family medicine physician who is compassionate and committed to meeting the healthcare needs of the community,” says Leal.
Dr. King received his medical education at NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He has a special interest in preventive medicine for the pediatric, adolescent, and adult populations, including the management of obesity in people age 6 and up. He also enjoys helping patients improve their physical and mental health and wellness.
