Women’s Health and Birth Center
With over 250 mothers choosing to deliver their babies at Laredo Medical Center each month, you know we’re doing something right! From making sure you and your precious new baby are in the expert hands of Neonatologists and specially trained nurses, to providing upgrades in Labor & Delivery Rooms such as new flat screen TVs and I-Pod Bose docking stations, the Women’s Health and Birthing Center has lots of amenities to make you feel right at home during this special time.
At Laredo Medical Center, we believe a family-centered approach to childbirth helps promote the healthy growth and development of the entire family. Our Labor & Delivery Rooms are spacious enough to accommodate the woman’s birthing partner, and rooms in the Mother/Baby Unit offer a built-in comfortable companion bed. Furthermore, we're proud of our long tradition of reaching out and serving a wide range of contemporary family structures and respect the wishes of our moms in the type of delivery requested.
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
For newborns who have special needs, Laredo Medical Center has a neonatal intensive care unit and intermediate nursery. Patients can rest assured that qualified personnel are available in case any complications arise during childbirth. These exclusive services make Laredo Medical Center the area’s best equipped hospital for high risk and premature births.
