John Ulbricht - COO

John Ulbricht has been the Chief Operating Officer of Laredo Medical Center since March of 2004. Mr. Ulbricht has over 30 years healthcare experience, with 21 years in hospital administration. John moved to Laredo from Marion, Illinois where he served as CEO for Heartland Regional Medical Center. Prior to that, he spent 12 years in Corpus Christi, Texas where he was Administrator of Doctor's Regional Medical Center, COO of Corpus Christi Medical Center and Assistant Executive Director of Humana Hospital Corpus Christi. John’s healthcare career started at Suburban Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky where he worked for 12 years in the Diagnostic Imaging department.

Mr. Ulbricht is very involved in the community and serves on several boards and civic groups including, Casa De Misericordia, the Girl Scouts of Greater South Texas, Laredo Chamber of Commerce, the United Way and Day Break Rotary, in which he is a three time International Paul Harris Fellow.

Mr. Ulbricht is a graduate of Bellarmine College in Louisville, Kentucky where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Healthcare Administration and a Masters Degree in Business Administration.  John’s wife Suzette is a registered nurse and a horse enthusiast. Suzette and John have one son, Nathan who lives in Florida.  John enjoys family,  photography, fishing, shooting and hunting.
