Ed Romero - CFO

Ed Romero serves as CFO of Laredo Medical Center. Romero brings a wealth of experience to LMC having worked in the healthcare industry since 1988. Prior to coming to Laredo, Romero worked at Spohn Hospital and Doctors Regional Medical Center in Corpus Christi. He also served as CFO at San Leandro and San Jose, California.

More recently, Romero served as CFO at San Angelo Community Medical Center, a sister facility of LMC under Community Health Systems. Romero received a BBA in Accounting and a Master’s of Professional Accountancy from Texas A&M Kingsville. Furthermore, he will complete a Master of Science degree in Health Care Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio this August.

Ed has been married to his wife, Sylvia, for 22 years and they have two sons, Anthony, a student at Angelo State University, and Andrew, a middle school student. Ed enjoys serving his community having been the chairperson and campaign chairperson for the United Way in San Angelo. In that capacity, he helped raise over $2.1 million for United Way agencies. Ed is also active in Boy Scouts volunteering with his son’s Boy Scout Troop.
